Course Name: Master of Fine Arts – Photography

Duration : 2 Year

Examination System: The programme follows a four-semester structure. Semester 1 and Semester 3 are assessed through a Jury — a panel review of the student's creative portfolio, research work, and photographic practice. Semester 2 and Semester 4 are assessed through formal written examinations.

Eligibility : Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university, with a demonstrable background in photography — through prior academic study, professional practice, or equivalent experience. Any qualification approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC) as equivalent to the above shall also be considered. A candidate must have obtained minimum 45% marks in the qualifying examination. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, minimum 40% marks shall apply.

Admission Process : Admission is made in the 1st year and once in a year. The candidate who fulfils the eligibility criteria shall get registered. The candidate is required to submit a portfolio of their photographic work for review, followed by a personal interview with the Admission Council. The merit list shall be prepared based on the quality of the portfolio and performance in the interview, and the admission list will be notified.

How to Apply : A candidate seeking admission shall contact admission cell and get registered with university on the prescribed form. All registered candidates shall appear in the written admission test on date assigned and collect information for admission test. Candidates as per admission list shall report for admission.
