At Bareilly International University (BIU), the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) serves as a foundational initiative for institutionalizing and internalizing a culture of quality. Rather than functioning as a mere formal structure or record-keeping mechanism, IQAC is envisioned as a dynamic, participative, and facilitative unit that promotes collective ownership of quality enhancement across all university constituents. Its effectiveness lies in fostering active involvement from faculty, staff, and students alike. IQAC at BIU is committed to driving strategic and structured interventions aimed at addressing institutional gaps and advancing academic and administrative excellence—much like the concept of “Quality Circles” in the industrial sector.

Mission

To institutionalize a dynamic and participative quality assurance mechanism that promotes academic excellence, innovative research, inclusive growth, and student-centric learning, ensuring that graduates emerge as globally competent, socially responsible citizens equipped to meet evolving societal and healthcare challenges. To develop a culture of continuous quality enhancement across teaching, research, and healthcare delivery by integrating advanced infrastructure, effective pedagogies, and ethical practices—ensuring holistic development of students and cost-effective, dignified healthcare services for the community.

Goals

The primary aim of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at BIU is to:

  • Establish a structured system for deliberate, consistent, and catalytic actions that contribute to the continuous enhancement of the University’s academic and administrative performance.
  • Foster a culture of quality by embedding quality consciousness into every facet of institutional operations.
  • Promote continuous improvement through systematic planning, execution, and review of quality initiatives.
  • Institutionalize best practices to ensure their integration into the day-to-day functioning of the University.
  • Strengthen internal processes to achieve academic excellence, administrative efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Strategies

The primary aim of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at BIU is to:

  • Ensure timely, efficient, and progressive execution of academic, administrative, and financial functions.
  • Promote relevant, high-quality academic and research programs that meet emerging societal and educational needs.
  • Provide inclusive access and affordability of academic programs for students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Optimize and integrate modern teaching methodologies and learning technologies to enhance educational delivery.
  • Maintain credibility and transparency in assessment and evaluation processes.
  • Ensure adequacy, upkeep, and strategic allocation of support services and institutional infrastructure.
  • Facilitate the sharing of research outcomes and strengthen academic collaboration with institutions across India and globally.
